Alvaro Franco

VP, Business Development High Regulated Markets

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia. He got a BMA from Universidad del Norte with a Postgraduate Specialization on International Marketing from Westchester College in New York. He is married to Susana having three children: Alejandro, Natalie and Christian. His priorities are God, his family, his work and his friends. He is highly proud and pleased of being part of the Procaps/Softigel family, where he started to work back in 1992 as Exports Manager. Later on, he got promoted to General Manager of the Softigel Marketing Unit. Early in 2001, he was transferred to the USA to manage North American New Business Development, and currently he also overseas Business activities in Europe, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. He enjoys travelling, discovering new places and cultures, as well as practicing aquatic sports or just relaxing on the beach.

Camilo Suárez

Director, Business Intelligence

He was born in Barranquilla on November 9th, 1981. He studied and graduated from Industrial Engineering at Universidad del Norte. He has been working in Procaps since the professional practice in 2003. He has worked basically in several areas within the company like Softgel Production, packaging production, New Products Development. Since 2012 he joined Softigel Business Unit, first to be the Head of Product development and then creating Business Intelligence Area who handles Marketing, CRM (with salesforce as the most important Platform), External and Internal Data analysis, Commercial Proposals, and supporting the product development and expansion strategy. Last year he started to manage also the Market Penetration on SEA, GCC and North African Countries.  He is married and has a 12-year-old child and a beautiful 6 months baby girl.. He loves to play and watch soccer, tennis and sports in general.

Erik Cárdenas

Commercial Director, Mexico & Central America

He was born on March 30th, 1970, in Barranquilla, Colombia. He graduated from Business Management Administration (BMA) with a Postgraduate Specialization on International Business. He has been part of the company for the last 22 years, working in a variety of areas within the company. Ten years ago, he started working in Softigel Commercial Area, developing outstanding projects such as Advil Fast and Advil Max launching in Colombia along with Wyeth, as well as the Chilean Market Consolidation and Development. Currently, he manages Latin America Commercial Direction, being responsible for the total unit selling related to current business. His main goal is to consolidate Softigel in the Mexican Market, the second largest in Latin America.

Gabriel Kovalski

Commercial Director Cosmetics & Recreational Products

He got a BMA from the CCEP in Cali, Colombia, with a Postgraduate Specialization on Marketing Management from Universidad Javeriana in the same city and a Diplomat on Senior Management from Universidad de los Andes in Barranquilla, Colombia. He started working in Procaps in 2004 as Manager of Colmed Generics Division. In the last 4 years he has been working as Softigel Marketing Director, specializing in Paintballs area and getting into Cosmetics world with the Hot Balls. He is willing to serve and concentrate on the client.

Jorge Luis Ochoa

Manager, Softcaps Brasil

He has been part of Procaps for the last 10 years. After being associated with New Business Division and Softigel, he is currently located in Brazil as Local Manager of Softcaps. With a Master Degree on Industrial Engineering, he supports constantly the Group growth. He spends with his wife and two children, he enjoys reading, going to the cinema and listening to a good joke.

Kelly Magro

Manager, New Business Softcaps Brasil

É farmacêutica bioquimica, com MBA - Master Business Administration em Marketing e Gestão de Pessoas, com 12 anos no grupo Procaps, depois de ter trabalhado em P&D, e com ampla  experiência como executiva de contas e novos negócios, em 2010 assumiu a área comercial como Gerente Comercial / Novos Negócios – Brasil, respondendo pelos resultados comerciais dos países: Brasil, Argentina, Paraguai, Uruguai e Chile.

Marco Silva Rodriguez

Commercial Director Southamerica

He got a BMA with a Postgraduate Specialization on Marketing. Before working in the Pharmaceutical Industry, he was during 2 years and 7 months in Salud Total as Senior Portfolio Manager for Barranquilla Branch. He has been part of the company since 2004, first as Sales Administrator of Gynopharm Division and later as Medical Visitor. In April 2008 he joined the UEN Softigel as Senior Sales Manager. Since January 2012 he is located in Caracas working as Marketing Director looking after the Venezuelan market. He is married to Diana Carbonell having one child named Julian. He likes playing tennis and reading.

Rodrigo Vera Kidd

Commercial Director Big Pharma

He got a BMA with a Postgraduate Specialization on International Business and Finance. He has been working in Procaps Marketing Area since 1999. His main achievements include market launching in Mexico, Vietnam and Thailand, market growth and consolidation in Central and South America and First-time participation on International European and Asian Procaps Fairs. He is currently working as Marketing Director for TGP and Relex. He has two children and enjoys practicing soccer, softball and golf. He is now on his way to learn Tennis.

Ted Green

Director, Business Development OTC

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Stanford University.  His first career was in Brand Management in the Consumer Products industry, where he worked for General Mills, the E&J Gallo Winery, and Constellation Brands.  13 years ago, he moved into Consumer Healthcare and led the second-largest US store-brand (generic) OTC pharmaceutical supplier through rapid growth by focusing on new products, acquisition integration, generic pharmaceutical partnerships and Rx-to-OTC Switch.  After consulting for Procaps’ US sister company, he joined Procaps two years ago to lead US OTC Business Development and implement the market entry strategies he identified.  He lives in California, visits Procaps every 6-8 weeks, and works closely with the Softigel, Sofgen, Product Development Services and US Generic Products teams.
